Becoming a Real Canadian, eh?

Dear Liam, Connor and Caitlin;

I am trying to get used to living in Canada among the Canadians.

The first thing you need to know about Canadians is that they bark a little funny. Instead of barking "Rowf, rowf, y'all", they bark "Roof, roof, eh?". It just takes a little getting used to, and you have to put up with comments like, "I like your accent." Accent? What accent?

All in all, though, people and dogs here seem pretty friendly.

Yesterday, I got my new tags that makes me a member of the City of Langley Dog Club. Here is a picture of me in front of the welcoming sign to Langley where Nana and Grandpa's house is located.

In the last couple of days, Grandpa and I have walked around the town to a few places. I got to check out the big fire trucks of the Langley Fire Department. The big trucks are cool - just like your toy one downstairs.

Another thing about Canadians is that they love their Tim Horton's coffee. Double-doubles are a hot item here and something called Timbits, but Grandpa wouldn't let me eat any. He said they weren't for dogs. Here I am in front of one of the Tim Horton's places here in Langley.

Well that's about all for now about learning to become a Canadian dog . Grandpa keeps telling me to keep my head up and stick on the ice, whatever that means.

But I can't wait for hockey season to start next week.

  1. We really miss you, Georgia. "We love you" (Liam). "We love you, friend" (Connor).

    "There are firemen in there" (Connor)
