Livin' at the Old Folks Home

Hi Liam, Connor & Caitlin;

Today was my first day living in Canada at Nana & Grandpa's house. I woke up early here -4am (I think I might be a little jet lagged and still working on eastern time) - and couldn't figure out where everybody was so I started banging on the family room door and yowling. So Nana sent Grandpa down to see me and he went to sleep on the couch - so I went back to sleep for a while too.

When we got up at a more reasonable time, we went for a walk on the nature trail. It was pretty neat. They have lots of squirrels here! (Yeah, I know, "I will not chase squirrels, I will not chase squirrels") And ducks. And the smells of a lot of other critters - no deer though. It was foggy to start with, and we went for a nice long walk for an hour. Grandpa said that having me around is going to be good for his waistline (that means his big, fat belly, Liam).

Here I am checking out one of the duck ponds on the trail. I really liked going for the long walk with Grandpa, and we got to do it all over again in the afternoon in the bright sunshine.

I met a bunch of other dogs down on the trails too.

The trail follows a little river called the Nicomekl River - tell your Daddy that I think there are fish in there.

Here's one of the little footbridges that crosses over the river.

In the afternoon I found good sunbeams to sleep in down in the family room in front of the window. I found that I can see out the window by putting my paws up on the chair, and make sure there aren't any squirrels taking liberties in my yard.

Later I made the discovery that there is a CAT living next door. She didn't seem too happy to see me and gave me the evil eye from the top of the fence. I mean to see to it that she stays on her side of the fence.

It was a good day. I think I will probably sleep better tonight.

Love
Georgia
