Cats and Rats and Flying Squirrels

My collar says:

I will not chase squirrels
I will not chase squirrels
I will not chase squirrels
. . . . . . .

But it is so darn tempting! And there are so many of them around.

And there are all sorts of cats and other critters too!!

So many smells, so little time.

So today was maybe the answer to my nightly doggie prayers. Grandpa and I were out for a walk when suddenly a squirrel falls out of a tree and lands right beside me! I could not believe my eyes! In fact I was so surprised that I couldn't even move and before you could say jack robinson that little squirrel hopped back on his feet and skeedaddled back up the nearest tree.
All those times when I have been saying "please Lord, let that little critter fall out of the tree and land down here beside me."

Sure enough, he did. And stupid old me, I couldn't even think fast enough to do anything. Sheesh!

  2. Georgia, I say go ahead and chase those critters. You're not going to catch the squirrels anyway and the cats totally deserve it for being, well, cats. Just don't run into traffic and make sure you come back to Grandpa when you're done.
