Rub-a-Dub-Dub, the doggy's goin' in the tub.
That's what Grampa was singing as we drove to the doggy wash place which is right beside the place that Grampa goes to wash his car too.
I hate bath day! I hate being wet. I hate being shampooed. I hate being wet! Did I say that already? Anyway, Nana kept saying that I was getting smelly and looked dirty so I needed to have a bath. SMELLY! I am the one with the acute sense of smell and I think I smell just fine.
But off to the dog wash we went anyway.

Grandpa lifted me up onto this wash tub affair which is really, really slippery! Then he put some money in the machine and hot water came out of the hose and so he sprayed me all over. I hate being wet - did I tell you that?
It wasn't so bad though. At least the water was warm and Grandpa didn't get any in my eyes.
He shampooed me all over and then rinsed it all off.
Finally, he got out the towels and started to dry me off which was a good thing because it is pretty cold here and I was starting to get chilled being wet and all.

I felt better once Grandpa had dried me off and let me get down off of the wash tub.
Now I just have to finish getting all dry so we can go for a walk in the cold.Love,

Georgia, being clean is important so you can go out and get dirty again. What fun is getting dirty if you don't start out clean? (At least that's what the boys think... the kids also think you'd like baths more if you had tub toys to play with. They have lots of tub toys!)
ReplyDeleteTub toys! That's a good idea. I used to have a rubber chicken but my buddy Bandit keeps reducing him every time he comes over. My chicken now doesn't have any legs, or a head or much else really. It would probably fill up with water and go to the bottom.
